Susanna Hegner designs and implements the Foundation’s communications strategy and manages its website and social media platforms. A firm believer in the power of storytelling, Susanna creates original multimedia content to showcase the ways MRBF's grantee partners are helping their communities achieve greater social and economic justice.
Before joining the Babcock Foundation, Susanna was an award-winning television journalist, working in newsrooms across North Carolina, in New York City and at CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta. She covered a wide range of historic events, from presidential conventions and elections to the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Susanna double majored in Journalism and French at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Greensboro native.
