As Associate Network Officer, Reggie Weaver administers a grant portfolio, manages existing Foundation relationships and helps identify new ones in specific places within our region.
Before joining the Babcock Foundation, Reggie served as an organizer in North Carolina’s Triad region for Common Cause. His work focused on expanding the electorate in black and brown communities through get-out-the-vote campaigns, election protection and redistricting reform. His entrée into organizing came during his time as a pastor on the south side of Chicago, where he joined the fight for a living wage, food justice and an end to the money bail system.
A native of Mobile, Alabama — the original home of Mardi Gras — Reggie is a lifelong lover of jazz and live music. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College.
